Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Politics in the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My dissertation focuses on electoral violence, using formal theory to generate theoretical claims regarding the mechanisms behind violence, and causal identification strategies to empirically test these claims. I envision that my research will inform the policy world, with the aims of pre-empting election violence, promoting free and fair elections, and strengthening democracies around the globe.
